How To Spend 2 Days In Milan, Italy Travel Itinerary Arriving At The International Airport
Two-day trip to Milan starting from the airport, your itinerary should prioritize major landmarks like the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, while also including art and history at Castello Sforzesco and “The Last Supper,” and ending the days with an evening stroll through the Navigli district or a visit to the Brera neighborhood. Getting from the airport to the city is easiest via train or bus, and once there, use the efficient metro, tram, and bus system (ATM) to get around.
Day 1: Duomo, art, and Sforza Castle
- Morning: Head straight to Piazza del Duomo to visit the magnificent Milan Cathedral. For breathtaking views, go to the rooftop terrace, and then take a walk through the stunning Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
- Lunch: Grab a panzerotto from the famous Luini bakery near the Duomo.

Getting from the airport
- Transportation: Public transportation is the best way to get from the airport to the city center. You can take the Malpensa Express train, a bus, or the metro.
