Arriving at Kansas City International Airport (MCI):
Upon arrival, retrieve your luggage and proceed to the Arrivals curb for pickups. If you’re waiting to pick someone up, use the Cell Phone Waiting Lot at 680 Brasilia Avenue (accessed via Bern Street) to avoid parking fees and violations. For drop-offs, use the upper-level departures curb only for short-term stops.

Getting to Downtown Kansas City:

RideKC Bus #229 offers free daily service from the airport to downtown (5 a.m. to 11 p.m.), with stops at the Boardwalk-KCI transfer station and East Village Transit Center.
App-based ride shares (Uber, Lyft, Iris, zTrip) operate from the purple signposted 2K–2N zone at the arrivals curb.
Taxis are available at Column 3C; expect a fare of about $53 to downtown (plus tip).
Car rental is available at the Consolidated Rental Car Facility via the Gray Bus (every 5–10 minutes).

Day 1: Downtown & Cultural Highlights
