It is located approximately 7 kilometers (4 miles) from the city center and is accessible via various transportation options including taxi, metro, bus, and shuttle services. The airport has two terminals: Terminal 1, which is larger and better organized, and Terminal 2, which houses the low-cost airlines.
For travelers arriving at Lisbon Airport, it is advisable to arrive early with necessary documents and to be aware of the check-in procedures, which include online, kiosk, and counter options. Passengers should also be prepared for security screening, which involves personal item and electronic device checks, and be aware of liquid restrictions. The Aerobus also links the airport with Cais do Sodre on the seafront, from where you can catch a train out to Estoril or Cascais.

Travelers should be aware that the airport is relatively close to the city, with most places in the city taking a short 15 to 25 minutes to reach by taxi. The taxis to the city are very cheap and well worth it, unlike most other city airport taxi transfers.
